Selected Word documents (.docx), PDFs, images and text files are processed in this browser tab. Ordinary importing, editing, previewing and downloading do not upload your documents. The editor does not retain a document library. Closing or refreshing the tab removes the working document from the editor. Files you download remain on your device.

Equiply account

You can prepare work before signing in. An Equiply account is required to export or save finished output. Sign-in on equiply.me supports existing accounts, Google and account creation. The extension stores a limited export session and account display name locally. Equiply verifies that session when you finish; document content is not sent for this check. Sign out removes the local session. Identity, storage and equiply.me access support this connection.

Cover letter transfers

A saved cover letter can be received locally from Equiply Job Assistant. It is temporarily held in Chrome session storage until imported into a new editor tab. The original draft remains in Job Assistant. This transfer does not upload the letter to Equiply.

Microsoft Word conversion

When selected, the installed Equiply Word helper receives your document locally and uses Microsoft Word desktop to export a PDF. It creates temporary files on this computer and removes them after conversion. No Equiply conversion server is used. The native messaging permission connects only to the installed helper.

Optional Equiply attachment

Connecting requests access to equiply.me and reads your shortlist through an open, signed-in Equiply Careers tab. When you choose a job and confirm on Equiply, the generated PDF and its filename are sent to Equiply and stored with that job. Those documents remain subject to Equiply's account and document retention rules. You can delete attachments from the job record.

Permissions and services

The scripting permission enables the optional connection to your Equiply Careers page. Access to equiply.me supports account verification and the optional shortlist connection. This editor does not include analytics, advertising, remotely loaded executable code or an AI service. All document rendering libraries are included in the extension.

Signatures and documents

A drawn signature is an image annotation, not a cryptographic signature. Editing an existing digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signature. Highlights and annotations do not remove underlying content. This editor does not provide secure redaction. Only choose documents you are entitled to process.
